New York Rep. Claudia Tenney joined hundreds of nurses, doctors, and healthcare workers on Capitol Hill for the bipartisan “Healthcare is Human” rally focused on staffing shortages and mental health support for healthcare workers. The rally hosted by the medical apparel brand FIGS, highlighted legislation that would create annual tax credits for healthcare workers serving in shortage areas and expand funding for nurse mental health programs. Tenney said the proposed legislation would put “a real financial incentive on the table” to help retain healthcare workers.
