No Kings protests will return in towns and cities across America on Oct. 17, with 12 scheduled around the mid-Hudson Valley, according to organizers.

Nineteen No Kings rallies were held in the region during the last nationwide demonstration on March 28.

The No Kings movement was launched by Indivisible, a nonprofit coalition of political action groups, working to stand up to authoritarianism.

Indivisible 845, along with a coalition of partner community organizations, is holding an event from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 17, at Memorial Park, located on Robert Cahill Drive in Beacon, as part of the “No Kings: Vote Early” nationwide action.

The goal is not only to protest, but also to bring the community together to plan to vote early, ensure eligible voters understand all voting options and make sure voter voices are heard.

The event will also include picketing, musical guests and speakers, including Dutchess County Comptroller Dan Aymar-Blair.

A coordinated day of nonviolent action, the rallies across the country target what organizers are calling the rise of political dynasties and anti-democratic power.

Indivisible 845 formed after Inauguration Day in 2024, and includes over 200 volunteers in the lower Hudson Valley.
